Work Team Supervisor
Job Description
Just the Job supports adults with a
mix of abilities in meaningful activities, skills training and social
activities.
We are a growing organisation in need
of an additional members of staff to join our dedicated team of Work Team
Supervisors for 2 days per week with additional hours to cover staff leave,
training and sickness. You will be able to create a safe and supportive working
environment primarily with our garden maintenance and fire wood production
services. You will need to be adaptable and able to help cover in other areas
of the service.
This post is
eligible for enhanced & barred list DBS checking.
Hours: Minimum of 15hrs Tuesday &
Wednesday (additional hours as when available)
Rate
of pay: £10.82/hr (increasing after 6
months’ probation period) April pay review pending.
£20,817
pro rata 37hrs
2-year contract with potential to be
extended.
Minimum age of 25 for our vehicle
insurance.

Skills /Competencies
Experience of working alongside
vulnerable people with a wide range of abilities will be an advantage.
Ability to recognise an individual’s
abilities and develop this over time.
To be positive, motivate and inspire
our Team Members with patience and empathy.
Have a good knowledge of garden
maintenance, using garden machines and tools.
Be able to maintain a safe working
environment and adhere to Just the Job policy requirements including Health
& Safety, Safeguarding and Equal Opportunities.
Be able to work independently in your
work area, but cooperate with colleagues on joint projects.
Possess good organisational skills.
An understanding of the importance of
confidentiality, diversity, and equality.
Be flexible and adaptable to changing
circumstances.
Ability to communicate at all levels.
Driving licence required.
Additional skills
that will help with this post
Ability to maintain machinery and
tools.
Carpentry & good DIY skills.
Some plant growing / horticulture
knowledge.
